Ingredients
Chicken Wings
1 pound chicken wings (split into flats and drummettes)
1 tablespoon olive oil
½ teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper (to taste)
For Cooking
Cooking spray (for air fryer basket)
For Serving
Chopped parsley (for garnish)
Ranch dressing (optional, for serving)
Instructions
Preheat and Prepare Basket: Preheat your air fryer to 380°F. Once heated, spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking and promote even cooking.
Season the Wings: Pat the chicken wings dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture. In a large bowl, toss the wings with olive oil, paprika, and garlic powder to coat evenly. Season well with salt and pepper according to your taste.
First Stage Cooking: Place the seasoned chicken wings in the air fryer basket making sure they are not touching to allow proper air circulation. Cook the wings for 10 minutes at 380°F to start the cooking process.
Crisp at Higher Heat: After 10 minutes, increase the air fryer temperature to 400°F. Continue cooking the wings for an additional 6 to 8 minutes or until they become golden brown and crispy on the outside.
Serve: Remove the wings from the air fryer. Garnish with chopped parsley for freshness and color. Serve immediately with ranch dressing on the side if desired.
Notes
Be sure not to overcrowd the air fryer basket; cook in batches if necessary to achieve crispiness.
Patting the wings dry is key to getting crispy skin.
Adjust seasoning to preference, you can add cayenne pepper for a spicy kick.
Ranch dressing adds a creamy contrast but is optional.
Use a meat thermometer to ensure wings reach an internal temperature of 165°F for safety.
