These Chewy Maple Cinnamon Cookies with White Chocolate are the perfect festive treat, combining warm maple and cinnamon flavors in a soft cookie base, dipped and drizzled with creamy white chocolate and topped with decorative holly berry sprinkles. Ideal for holiday celebrations and sharing with loved ones.

Ingredients

Cookie Dough

  • 1 batch Chewy Maple Cinnamon Cookie dough (prepared according to Cooking with Carlee’s recipe)

Toppings

  • White chocolate melting wafers (e.g., Ghirardelli white chocolate melting wafers), amount as needed for dipping and drizzling
  • Holly berry sprinkles, as desired for decoration

Instructions

  1. Prepare the dough: Make the maple cinnamon cookie dough following the original Cooking with Carlee’s recipe, then refrigerate it for at least 30 minutes to firm up the dough for easier handling.
  2. Portion the dough: Use a food scale to measure 1.5-ounce portions of dough to ensure uniform cookie sizes. Roll these portions into smooth dough balls.
  3. Bake the cookies: Arrange the dough balls on a light-colored baking sheet. Bake in a preheated oven for 24 minutes. The cookies are done when the centers are puffed, slightly cracked, and edges are firm but not caved in. Remove from oven and let fully cool on the baking sheet.
  4. Melt the white chocolate: Place white chocolate melting wafers in a microwave-safe bowl. Melt at half power in short 20-30 second intervals, stirring well between each interval until smooth and fully melted to avoid burning.
  5. Dip the cookies: Once completely cooled, dip half of each cookie into the melted white chocolate. Lay the dipped cookies on wax or parchment paper to set and harden the chocolate coating.
  6. Drizzle additional chocolate: Transfer some melted white chocolate into a piping bag or ziplock bag with a small corner cut off. Drizzle the melted chocolate artfully over the dipped portion of each cookie for an elegant finish.
  7. Add sprinkles: While the drizzle is still wet, sprinkle holly berry sprinkles over the cookies. Allow the chocolate drizzle to set completely before serving. Enjoy your festive, maple cinnamon and white chocolate cookies!

Notes

  • For best results, use a light-colored baking sheet to prevent cookie bottoms from over-browning.
  • Refrigerating the dough helps maintain cookie shape during baking and enhances flavor melding.
  • Use a food scale for consistent cookie sizes and even baking.
  • Make sure the cookies are fully cooled before dipping to avoid melting the white chocolate too quickly.
  • Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
  • White chocolate melting wafers are preferred for smooth melting and coating properties.
