These Chicken Parmesan Sliders are a delicious and easy-to-make meal featuring crispy cooked chicken strips layered with marinara sauce and melted mozzarella cheese, all sandwiched inside soft King's Hawaiian slider buns. Topped with a buttery Italian seasoning mix and baked until golden and bubbly, these sliders make a perfect appetizer or dinner option for any occasion.

Ingredients

Sliders

  • 10 ounces King's Hawaiian Pre-Sliced Slider Buns (9 buns)
  • 10-12 frozen chicken strips, cooked according to package instructions
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 9 slices whole milk mozzarella cheese

Butter Topping

  • ½ cup salted butter, melted (1 stick)
  • 1 ounce Italian Seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Chopped fresh basil (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to prepare for baking the sliders.
  2. Assemble Bottom Buns and Chicken: Lay the bottom halves of the slider buns evenly on a baking sheet or baking pan, then place the cooked chicken strips on top of each bun evenly.
  3. Add Sauce and Cheese: Spoon marinara sauce over the chicken strips generously, then place one slice of mozzarella cheese on top of the sauced chicken on each bun.
  4. Top with Buns: Place the top halves of the slider buns on each assembled sandwich to enclose the filling.
  5. Prepare Butter Mixture: In a small bowl, stir together the melted salted butter, Italian seasoning, and freshly grated Parmesan cheese until well combined.
  6. Brush Tops: Generously brush the tops of the slider buns with the prepared butter mixture to add flavor and aid browning. Sprinkle with chopped fresh basil if desired.
  7. Bake Sliders: Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown, the cheese is melted, and the sliders are bubbly and hot throughout.
  8. Serve: Remove from oven and serve the sliders warm. Pull apart or slice as needed to enjoy.

Notes

  • Use fully cooked chicken strips to save time; baking time is mainly for melting cheese and warming sliders.
  • Fresh basil is optional but adds a nice fresh flavor and color contrast.
  • These sliders are best enjoyed fresh out of the oven for optimal melty cheese and soft buns.
  • You can substitute mozzarella with provolone or another melting cheese if preferred.
  • For a spicier version, add crushed red pepper flakes to the marinara or butter mixture.
