Ingredients
Cheese and Oil Mixture
8 oz burrata cheese
3 tablespoons olive oil (divided)
1 tablespoon fresh basil (sliced)
1 lemon (zested and squeezed)
Garlic Toasts
1 baguette (sliced)
1 clove garlic (halved)
Instructions
Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) to prepare for baking the garlic toasts.
Prepare garlic toasts: Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet. Drizzle with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and gently rub each slice with the halved garlic clove to infuse flavor. Bake in the oven for 8 to 10 minutes until the edges turn slightly golden and crisp.
Make lemon basil olive oil: In a small bowl, combine the remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil with sliced fresh basil, lemon zest, and freshly squeezed lemon juice. Stir well to blend the flavors.
Assemble the dish: Place the burrata cheese in a serving bowl and carefully slice it open with a knife to reveal the creamy center. Pour the lemon-basil olive oil mixture generously over the burrata.
Serve: Present the burrata alongside the warm garlic toasts for easy dipping. Enjoy immediately for the best flavor and texture.
Notes
Use fresh basil for the brightest flavor, but dried basil can be used in a pinch.
For extra garlic flavor, brush the toasted baguette slices with a little more olive oil before serving.
This dish is best served fresh and not stored, as the toasts will lose their crispness and burrata may soften.
For a touch of heat, sprinkle a pinch of red pepper flakes over the burrata before serving.
