A flavorful Maple Dijon Chicken recipe featuring tender boneless, skinless chicken breasts marinated in a sweet and tangy maple syrup and Dijon mustard mixture with fresh thyme and red wine vinegar, then grilled to juicy perfection. Perfect for a simple and delicious weeknight meal.

Ingredients

Chicken

  • 1 1/2 pounds chicken breasts (boneless, skinless, trimmed and cut in half)

Marinade

  • 1/3 cup pure maple syrup (O Organics®)
  • 1/3 cup Dijon mustard (O Organics®)
  • 2 teaspoons fresh thyme (O Organics®)
  • 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar

Instructions

  1. Prepare the marinade. In a small bowl or measuring cup, whisk together the pure maple syrup, Dijon mustard, fresh thyme, and red wine vinegar until well combined.
  2. Marinate the chicken. Place the chicken breasts in a large plastic bag, pour the maple Dijon marinade over the chicken, seal the bag tightly, and toss to ensure the chicken is evenly coated. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse.
  3. Grill the chicken. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Remove the chicken breasts from the marinade and grill them for 5 to 6 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C) and the chicken is cooked through.
  4. Rest and serve. Remove the grilled chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 to 10 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute before serving for best flavor and juiciness.

Notes

  • For best results, marinate the chicken for at least 30 minutes, but not longer than 4 hours to avoid overpowering the flavor.
  • Ensure the grill is properly heated to prevent sticking and to achieve nice grill marks.
  • Use a meat thermometer to verify the chicken is cooked safely to 160°F.
  • You can substitute fresh thyme with 1 teaspoon dried thyme if fresh is unavailable.
  • Serve with your choice of grilled vegetables or a fresh salad to complete the meal.
