A quick and refreshing iced coffee recipe that combines freshly brewed espresso or filter coffee with ice, sweetener, vanilla, and milk for a smooth and delightful chilled beverage perfect for any time of day.

Ingredients

Coffee

  • 1 espresso coffee or filter coffee (approximately 60 ml)

Sweeteners and Flavorings

  • 1 tsp sugar or maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Additions

  • Ice cubes (enough to fill a large glass)
  • Milk (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Coffee: Brew your usual espresso or filter coffee (about 60 ml) and allow it to cool completely to room temperature to prevent melting too much ice and diluting the drink.
  2. Fill Glass with Ice: Take a large glass and fill it generously with ice cubes to chill the coffee effectively.
  3. Add Sweeteners and Flavor: Add 1 teaspoon of sugar or maple syrup and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract directly into the cooled coffee or into the glass with ice, stirring until dissolved.
  4. Combine Coffee and Ice: Pour the cooled coffee over the ice in the glass, letting the temperature blend with the cold cubes.
  5. Add Milk and Stir: Optionally, add milk to your desired amount, stir well to combine for a creamy touch, and enjoy your iced coffee immediately.

Notes

  • Use freshly brewed coffee for the best flavor.
  • Adjust sweetness and milk according to personal preference.
  • Vanilla extract adds a subtle aromatic note but can be omitted if unavailable.
  • For a vegan alternative, use plant-based milk.
  • To avoid dilution, cool coffee completely before adding to ice.
