Indulge in a decadent Salted Caramel Brownie Cheesecake Trifle, a layered dessert combining fudgy brownies, creamy no-bake cheesecake filling, rich salted caramel sauce, and fluffy whipped cream, topped with chocolate-covered caramels. Perfect for special occasions or gatherings, this no-bake trifle is easy to assemble and delivers a delightful balance of sweet and salty flavors in every bite.

Ingredients

Brownie Base

  • 18-20 ounce Brownie Mix (plus ingredients called for on the box: water, oil, eggs)

Cheesecake Filling

  • 2 (8-ounce) packages Cream Cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract or Vanilla Bean Paste
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream, whipped to stiff peaks

Whipped Cream Topping

  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1/4 cup Powdered Sugar

Additional

  • 8 ounces Salted Caramel Sauce (jarred or homemade)
  • Chocolate Covered Caramels for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare Brownies: Follow the instructions on the brownie mix box or use your favorite homemade brownie recipe. Bake as directed, then allow the brownies to cool completely before cutting into small squares.
  2. Make Cheesecake Filling: In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy. Gradually add sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  3. Fold in Whipped Cream: In a separate bowl, whip 1 cup of heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold this whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until smooth and fluffy, creating a light no-bake cheesecake filling.
  4. Whip Cream Topping: Whip the remaining 1 cup of heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form. Set aside for topping the trifle.
  5. Assemble the Trifle: In a large trifle dish, start by layering brownie cubes evenly at the bottom. Next, add a generous layer of the no-bake cheesecake filling. Drizzle salted caramel sauce over the cheesecake layer. Repeat these layers—brownies, cheesecake filling, and salted caramel—until the dish is nearly full.
  6. Add Final Topping: Finish with a thick layer of the whipped cream topping. Garnish with chocolate covered caramels on top. Alternatively, you can layer chocolate-covered caramels throughout the trifle for added texture and flavor.
  7. Chill: Cover the trifle with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours to allow the layers to set and the flavors to meld. For best results, refrigerate overnight before serving.

Notes

  • Use cooled brownies to prevent melting the cheesecake and whipped cream layers.
  • You can substitute jarred salted caramel sauce with homemade if preferred.
  • For an extra indulgent touch, sprinkle some sea salt flakes on top of the caramel layers.
  • Make the trifle a day ahead to enhance flavor melding and make serving easier.
  • To avoid over-whipping, stop when stiff or soft peaks are achieved as specified to maintain ideal texture.
