Ingredients
Chicken
2 lbs. Chicken Breasts (Tenders, or Thighs)
Marinade
1/3 - 1/2 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil (depending on preference)
3 Tablespoons Fresh Lemon Juice
3 Tablespoons Soy Sauce
2 Tablespoons Balsamic Vinegar
1/4 cup Brown Sugar
1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
3 Garlic Cloves (minced or 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder)
1 1/2 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Pepper
Garnish
Fresh Parsley
Instructions
Prepare Marinade: In a bowl, stir together olive oil, fresh lemon juice, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, salt, and pepper until well combined.
Marinate Chicken: Pierce the chicken breasts all over with a fork to help the marinade penetrate. Place the chicken in a large Ziploc bag and pour the marinade over it, ensuring the chicken is well coated. Seal the bag.
Rest in Marinade: Refrigerate and let the chicken marinate for at least 30 minutes, though 4 to 5 hours is ideal for maximum flavor and tenderness.
Preheat Grill: Preheat your grill to medium heat and brush the grill grates with oil to prevent the chicken from sticking.
Grill Chicken: Remove chicken from marinade and place on the grill. Cook for approximately 5 to 6 minutes on each side, depending on thickness, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
Rest and Serve: Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes to allow juices to redistribute before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley for added freshness and color.
Notes
Marinate longer for deeper flavor; overnight marination is also suitable.
Use a meat thermometer to ensure chicken is fully cooked for safety.
If grilling is not possible, chicken can be cooked on a stovetop grill pan or baked in the oven at 375°F for 20-25 minutes.
Adjust brown sugar quantity to your preferred sweetness level.
To make it gluten-free, use gluten-free soy sauce or tamari.
