These Turmeric Ginger Lemon Shots are a vibrant, health-boosting beverage packed with fresh turmeric, ginger, and citrus fruits. Perfect for a quick immunity boost, they combine anti-inflammatory ingredients with a refreshing zing of lemon, orange, and grapefruit, enhanced with a touch of black pepper and cayenne for better absorption and a gentle kick.

Ingredients

Roots and Spices

  • 3-4 pieces turmeric root (100g / 3.5 oz), preferably organic
  • 3-4 pieces ginger root, organic
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ⅛ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ⅙ teaspoon Celtic salt

Fruits and Liquids

  • 1 large lemon, organic and unwaxed
  • 1 large orange
  • ½ large grapefruit, peel removed
  • 1 litre mineral water

Instructions

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Gather all the ingredients. Wash thoroughly to remove any dirt or residues. Peel the turmeric, ginger, lemon, orange, and grapefruit and chop them into smaller pieces to facilitate blending.
  2. Blend Ingredients: Place all the chopped roots, fruits, spices (black pepper, cayenne pepper), Celtic salt, and mineral water into a blender. Ensure everything is added evenly for a balanced flavor.
  3. Blend Until Smooth: Blend the mixture on high until it is thoroughly combined and smooth, ensuring the roots are fully liquefied to release their potent flavors and nutrients.
  4. Strain the Juice: Pour the blended mixture through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a bowl or container to remove pulp and fibrous material, producing a smooth juice.
  5. Bottle and Store: Transfer the strained juice into clean, airtight bottles. Refrigerate the shots and consume within one week for maximum freshness and potency.

Notes

  • Use organic roots and fruits to avoid pesticides and to maximize health benefits.
  • The black pepper enhances the absorption of curcumin from the turmeric.
  • Consume the shots within a week to ensure freshness and potency.
  • If you prefer a milder flavor, reduce the cayenne pepper amount or omit it.
  • Shake the bottles well before each use as natural settling may occur.
