This Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Foam recipe is a simple Starbucks copycat that adds a rich, creamy, and sweet vanilla-flavored foam to your cold coffee beverages. Made with heavy cream, whole milk, vanilla extract, and sugar or vanilla syrup, this cold foam can easily be made at home using a French press or handheld frother to create a smooth, velvety topping perfect for iced coffee, cold brew, or espresso drinks.

Ingredients

Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Foam

  • 1 Tbsp. Heavy Cream
  • 1/2 Cup Whole Milk
  • 1 Tsp. Vanilla Extract
  • 1 Tbsp. Sugar or 2-3 Pumps Vanilla Syrup

Instructions

  1. Mix Ingredients: Combine the heavy cream, whole milk, vanilla extract, and sugar or vanilla syrup in a French press or a jar if using a handheld frother.
  2. Froth in French Press: If using a French press, move the press handle up and down vigorously until the mixture starts to foam and doubles in volume, creating a rich cold foam.
  3. Froth with Handheld Frother: If using a handheld frother, shake the jar first to combine ingredients, then froth for 15-30 seconds until the mixture starts to foam and has a creamy texture.
  4. No Foam Option: To use as a creamer without foam, simply mix the ingredients in a jar until combined, without frothing.
  5. Serve: Pour the cold foam over iced coffee, cold brew, espresso, or any cold beverage of your choice and enjoy the creamy vanilla sweet flavor that enhances your drink.

Notes

  • You can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sugar or vanilla syrup according to your taste.
  • For a lighter foam, use low-fat milk instead of whole milk, but whole milk gives the creamiest texture.
  • The foam is best served fresh for optimal texture and flavor.
  • If you do not have a French press or frother, a vigorous shake in a tightly sealed jar can also create some foam.
  • Use cold milk and cream for best results to keep the foam chilled and stable.
